Job summary

Kelly Services in Saratoga Springs, NY seeks a Sorter/Machine Operator to join a premier manufacturing client. The role involves material handling and operating machinery, with a steady Mon-Fri schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and a starting pay of $19/hour.

Responsibilities

• Identify and sort materials, including sheets, top frames, and pallets.

• Remove damaged or scrap materials, tagging and placing them on separate pallets.
• Operate machines to process cleaned and sorted sheets.
• Record quantities and cleaning descriptions on related forms.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace while following GMPs, SQF, and safety requirements.

What’s a typical day as Sorter/Machine Operator?

• Identifying and sorting different types of materials, including sheets, top frames, and pallets
• Inspecting pallets thoroughly using a flashlight and following established SOPs
• Removing damaged or scrap materials, tagging, and placing them on separate pallets
• Cleaning materials using approved solutions and methods, ensuring products are dry before stacking
• Operating machines to process cleaned and sorted sheets
• Recording quantities and cleaning descriptions accurately on related forms
• Communicating excessive scrap or issues promptly to site management
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, following GMPs, SQF, and safety requirements
