Job summary

ofi North America (Olam Food Ingredients) in Sylvester, GA, is seeking a Quality Sorter to remove all foreign material from the product. Reporting to the Production Supervisor/Plant Manager/QA Manager, you will help ensure product quality and compliance with GMP, sanitation, and food safety programs.

Responsibilities include inspecting the product on the picking table, reporting foreign material to QA and production, maintaining sanitation schedules, and following safety guidelines while working

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1–3 years related experience preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect the product on the picking table and remove all foreign material.
  • Provide the QA Inspector and the Production Supervisor with all foreign material found on the sorting table during your shift.
  • See that all equipment is safely used and maintained, notifying your supervisor if a problem occurs with the picking table.
  • You are responsible for the quality of our product.
  • You are responsible for performing your job by the GMP Rules, Sanitation, and Quality & Food Safety Programs.
  • Do not wear long sleeves at the picking table.
  • Keep all areas assigned to you on the sanitation schedule maintained.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
