Job summary

FedEx Ground is seeking a Sortation System Mechanic to maintain cross-belt and sliding shoe sortation equipment at our Memphis hub. This hands-on role diagnoses mechanical failures, replaces divert shoes, and adjusts belt tension during peak operations.

You will read mechanical and electrical blueprints and work with the controls team to resolve faults, requiring comfort with heights and confined spaces in a dynamic hub environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably with sortation systems.
• Knowledge of conveyor and sortation components including diverters, merges, and induction stations.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures on sortation equipment.
