Job summary

Alpha Gamma Delta is seeking an Assistant Chef to support the Head Chef in managing the sorority house's food program. You will help ensure residents and guests are provided balanced meals, while maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment.

Responsibilities include meal preparation, kitchen upkeep, and collaboration with the food committee, with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and high-quality service in a collegiate setting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates basic culinary and baking knowledge.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes accurately.
• Complies with HACCP safety standards and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of kitchen and serving areas.
• Collaborates effectively with the Head Chef and team.
• Prior experience in a culinary position is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with timely, regular meal preparation following HACCP standards.
• Refresh items during meal service as directed by Head Chef.
• Maintain organized and clean kitchen and serving areas.
• Set up and break down service area before and after meals.
• Assist Head Chef with tasks inside and outside day-to-day duties.
• Collaborate with the chapter's food committee as applicable.
• Light dishwashing as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
