How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Perform high-complexity fetal ultrasound examinations for high-risk obstetric patients under the direct supervision of MFM physicians to ensure clinical excellence.
- Conduct comprehensive first-trimester screenings and Level II anatomy scans to detect chromosomal anomalies and structural fetal development concerns.
- Deliver specialized fetal echocardiography and biophysical profiles while maintaining accurate clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Assist MFM specialists during invasive diagnostic procedures including amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling to provide expert ultrasound guidance.
- Communicate critical ultrasound findings and examination reports to the interdisciplinary team to coordinate high-quality patient care and outcomes.
What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need
- Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Credentialed in Fetal Echocardiography from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) within 24 months of hire date or job transfer date.
- One or more of the following required:
- Medical Sonographer specializing in Fetal Echocardiography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Medical Sonographer specializing in Obstetrics & Gynecology credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
