Job summary

The Registered Diagnostic Sonographer I performs ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical, to adult and pediatric patients for diagnosis and/or treatment of disorders, and assists with needle procedures. May also perform vascular procedures.

Responsibilities include imaging examinations, independent studies in the Operating Room or portable exams, equipment maintenance, proper documentation, collaboration with Radiologist and medical staff, and other duties as

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate Degree - Sonography preferred.
• BLS required within first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound imaging examinations.
• Performs studies independently in OR or portable exams.
• Maintains equipment and supplies.
• Ensures proper documentation of procedures.
• Collaborates with Radiologist and medical staff for diagnosis.
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
