Applicants should have at least a High School Diploma or GED, and possess two credentials or three applicable certifications, including BLS. Experience in ultrasound imaging is essential, and an Associate Degree in Sonography is preferred.

Job Summary

The Registered Diagnostic Sonographer I performs ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical, to adult and pediatric patients for diagnosis and treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders, and assists with needle procedures (i.e., biopsies, drainages, needle placements, etc.). May also perform vascular procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound imaging examinations.
• Perform studies independently in the Operating Room and or portable exams as required by the work area.
• Maintain equipment and supplies.
• Ensure proper documentation of procedures.
• Collaborate with Radiologist and medical staff for diagnosis.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: 2-6 Years
• Supervisor Experience: None required
• License/Certifications: 2 Credentials or 3 Applicable Certifications; BLS required within first 30 day of employment

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree: Associate Degree – Sonography
