Job summary

Novant Health is seeking an Ultrasound Sonographer I in Forsyth Medical Center per diem to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and support the care team with accurate imaging results.

The role requires ARRT/ARDMS certification pathways and an associate degree; one year of experience is preferred, with emphasis on safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree preferred; ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography program required.
• Minimum of one year of sonography experience preferred.
• ARRT in Sonography or ARDMS with RT(S) or ARDMS specialty required within 6 months of hire; NH facilities require ARRT/ARDMS certification.
• Certified and registered in Sonography (ARRT or ARDMS) for the applicable NH facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with accuracy and compassion.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to provide timely diagnostic information.
• Ensure patient comfort, dignity and safety during imaging.
• Maintain high image quality, safety and compliance.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in sonography, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS, required.
  • NH Medical Group Office-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS, required.
