Job summary

Essentia Health’s Ultrasound team at Essentia Virginia Hospital seeks a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to perform patient scans for physician diagnosis, using advanced ultrasound equipment and clinical knowledge.

The ideal candidate will hold a CAHEA-accredited sonography program and be registry eligible with ARDMS; must become ARDMS registered within 1 year and certified in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAHEA-accredited sonography program.
• ARDMS registry eligible at hire.
• Must achieve ARDMS registration within 1 year of hire.
• Must be certified in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic ultrasound scans for physician diagnosis.
• Operate ultrasound equipment with appropriate technical knowledge.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety during procedures.

Job Description:

Education Qualifications:

Graduation from a Committee on Allied Health Education (CAHEA) accredited program in sonography and registry eligible by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Registered by the ARDMS within 1 year of hire.

Must be certified in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular within 24 months of hire date.
