Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, OH seeks a Sonographer for part-time shifts. You will perform a variety of Ultrasound procedures and ensure high-quality imaging, both professional and non-clinical, in alignment with radiology standards.

Requirements include graduation from an approved ultrasound program, ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification, prior sonography experience preferred, strong communication skills, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an approved Ultrasound program is required.
• Licensure/Certifications: ARDMS or ARRT(S) with abdomen/OBGYN specialties or equivalent.
• Experience: Prior Sonography experience preferred.
• Skills: Effective Communication Skills and current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of Ultrasound procedures ensuring optimal image quality.
• Enter on-line charges in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and maintain accuracy per policy.
• Provide patient care with emphasis on safety and adherence to radiology standards.

About the job:

The Sonographer performs a variety of Ultrasound procedures both professional and non-clinical consistent with optimal image quality.

What you will do:

• Performs a variety of Ultrasound procedures both professional and non-clinical consistent with optimal image quality.
• Responsible for entering on-line charges in the computer system (Radiology Information System-RIS) and accountable for charges as specified by the Administrative Policy, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
• Provides patient care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism within established Radiology and Imaging National standards.

What we are looking for:

• Education: Graduate of an approved Ultrasound program
• Licensure / Certification: Registered as a Sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or ARRT (S), with specialties in abdomen, obstetrics and gynecology, or other areas as appropriate.
• Experience: Prior experience as a Sonographer preferred.
• Effective Communication Skills
• Maintain current BLS certification.
