Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, part of Orlando Health, is seeking a Sonographer - I to provide quality diagnostic sonographic imaging and related procedures.

Position Details
  • Shift: Full-time / Days
Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic sonographic exams in collaboration with Radiologists.
  • Exercise professional judgment and maintain a demeanor conducive to quality care.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper procedure completion.
  • Comply with all applicable regulations and Orlando Health standards.
  • Assess patient conditions and provide clear instructions to ensure cooperation.
  • Properly identify patients, document clinical history, and ensure accuracy.
  • Position patients and equipment to obtain high-quality images.
  • Evaluate diagnostic images for quality and proper annotation.
  • Participate in Quality Control standards and emergency medical aid when necessary.
  • Assist in supervising and training student and new sonographers.
  • Utilize all radiology computer systems effectively.
  • Maintain safety and compliance with hospital policies.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited sonography program meeting ARDMS eligibility.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through ARDMS.
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Knowledge of routine ultrasound procedures and competency in examinations.
