CommonSpirit Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound procedures at a technically proficient level in Santa Maria, CA. The role involves patient positioning, operating equipment, and ensuring proper documentation to aid diagnosis.

Qualified candidates will have extensive OB ultrasound experience (Level II), invasive fetal procedure exposure, and appropriate certifications. The position requires initiative for diagnostic work and potential staff training responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program with 2–5 years of ultrasound experience.
• 2 years high-risk/level II OB ultrasound experience including fetal echo.
• Experience with US-guided invasive fetal procedures including amniocentesis and CVS.
• Basic Life Support CPR from the American Heart Association.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or related certifications.
• Registered Cardiovascular Technologist or Sonographer certifications.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (abdomen, cardiac, radiography ARRT, etc.).
• Registered Vascular Technologist or related vascular certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures at a technically proficient level and position/instruct patients.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and determine technical factors for procedures.
• Ensure correct labeling of images and thorough documentation to aid diagnosis.
• Train staff members to perform procedures requiring independent judgement.

As our Ultrasound Technologist you will help perform ultrasound procedures at a technically proficient level.

Every day you will position and instruct the patient, operates ultrasound equipment and determines the technical factors for ultrasound procedures.

To be successful in this role, you must ensures correct marking/labeling of images, provide and confirm proper/adequate documentation of procedures to assist in diagnosis. Technically proficient in a variety of ultrasound procedures. Ability to train staff members to perform procedures requiring independent judgement. Position requires ingenuity and initiative for the diagnosis and therapy of disease.

• Technical School Graduation from an accredited school of Ultrasound and 2-5 years experience performing Ultrasound procedures, upon hire and
• 2 years high-risk/level II OB Ultrasound, including Fetal Echo. and
• Experienced with US-guided invasive fetal procedures including amniocentesis and CVS and
• Basic Life Support - CPR (must be from the American Heart Association), within 30 Days and
• Registered Cardiac Electr, upon hire or
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, upon hire or
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen, upon hire or
• Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, upon hire or
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or
• Registered Vascular Specialist, upon hire or
• Registered Vascular Technologist, upon hire
