Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Iowa is seeking a Part-time Sonographer to join our MercyOne family on day shifts.

You will perform OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts ultrasound exams, and assist radiologists while mentoring students and staff. This role supports scheduled and emergent cases with a team-focused approach.

ARDMS registration required or board-eligible with ARDMS within 12 months; BLS within 30 days; ongoing CME; commitment to safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• ARDMS registration or board-eligible with ARDMS within one year.
• Maintains active ARDMS registry status (CME compliance).
• BLS within 30 days and every two years.
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training within six months.

Description

Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Sonographer! As a Sonographer at MercyOne, you will:

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies; provides technical instruction to students and hospital staff

Schedule

20 hours a week Daytime hours Holiday rotation

General Requirements

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following:
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS)
• If not registered, be board-eligible and become registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.
• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME’s every 3 yrs/annual payment)
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two (2) years thereafter.
