Job summary

Park Nicollet Health Services is seeking a Sonographer to join our Radiology team. The role focuses on performing high-quality ultrasound images and maintaining equipment, while interacting professionally with patients and physicians.

The candidate should be ARDMS-eligible or registered, with CPR skills and a strong anatomy background. This on-site position supports our mission as part of Park Nicollet/Methodist Hospital.

Qualifications

• Must be registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Registered RDMS and RVT within 6 months of hire required.
• Maintain current CPR skills.
• Strong anatomy and physiology background.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Performs high quality and accurate diagnostic ultrasound images. Interacts with patients, physicians, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Maintains ultrasound equipment in optimum working condition. Applies knowledge of emergency protocols and procedures, and proper equipment utilization to maximize safety in the work environment.

Work Schedule

Casual - 1 shift per 2 week pay period if needed.

Required Qualifications

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination
• Graduate from an accredited School of Medical Sonography or equivalent.
• Must be willing to participate in continuing education to remain current on technical advances as they occur.
• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification
• Must be registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Registered in RDMS and RVT within 6 months of hire required.
• Must maintain current CPR skills.
• Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
• Must have a strong anatomy and physiology background.
• Ability to assess results, problem solve, and use independent judgment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
• Must have proven ability to operate the following safely and efficiently: Ultrasound equipment, Fax, Telephone, PC, Printer, and Photocopier.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
• Additional specialized training or at least one year of ultrasound experience preferred.
