Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Cardiac Sonography Technologist to join the AHMG Cardiology team. The role involves performing high-quality echocardiograms and vascular studies at Innovation Tower, following safety protocols, and documenting patient history and exam results.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred in cardiovascular sonography or closely related field.
• Certification required: RDCS/RVT/RCS/RVS is needed for the job.
• BLS certification required.

• Performs echocardiogram and vascular studies for diagnostic evaluation by reading physicians.
• Obtains all views required for processing and inputs notes at exam completion.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment and ensures safety procedures at all times.

Monday - Thursday 7am - 5:30pm

$5k sign on bonus

• Obtains a complete and current history of the patient and the reason for the exam.
• Performs quality echocardiogram and vascular studies for adequate diagnostic evaluation by the reading physicians.
• Obtains all views required for processing.
• Inputs notes and history at the completion of the exam.
• Inputs data at the completion of the exam.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Checks practitioner orders for accuracy and clarify with offices, floors, or physicians as needed.
• Notifies the floor if the patient has had an echocardiogram within the past six months.
• Utilizes all safety measures provided for the department and individual technologists.
• Always uses two types of patient identifiers, such as name and date of birth.
• Assures proper positioning, technique, and protocol for each exam.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
