Job Overview:

A pediatric department in Flushing, NY is seeking a skilled Ultrasound / Sonography Technologist with experience in pediatric echocardiography for a 13-week contract assignment. This role is essential to providing high-quality diagnostic imaging and support for pediatric cardiac care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform pediatric echocardiograms using established techniques and safety protocols
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot echocardiography and ultrasound equipment
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures
• Accurately document procedure findings and maintain records
• Collaborate with clinical staff to communicate significant findings or concerns
• Identify and report equipment or patient-related issues promptly

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited Echocardiogram Training Program
• Certification in Echocardiography (CCI or ARMS) – Required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echocardiogram Technologist
• Pediatric echocardiography experience is mandatory
• Strong understanding of echocardiographic techniques, equipment, and procedures
• Basic clerical and documentation skills
• Ability to escalate patient care concerns to appropriate medical staff
