Job summary

ATD Technology, LLC is seeking an experienced sonographer to perform high-quality adult echocardiography studies in a premier cardiac center in Morristown, NJ. The role emphasizes patient comfort, clear explanations, ASE and IAC guideline adherence, and efficient imaging during inpatient care.

Candidates must have TAVR TTE experience, 200+ inpatient echocardiography cases, strong spectral Doppler and contrast skills, and familiarity with Philips IE33 and Epiq systems.

Qualifications

  • Experienced sonographer with adult echo focus and high-quality imaging.
  • Inpatient echo experience with 200+ cases documented.
  • Strong spectral Doppler, contrast echo, and TAVR-TTE experience.
  • Proficient in valvular assessment and 3D echo is preferred.
  • ARDMS or CCI certification and BLS required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort.
  • Set up equipment and perform ultrasound procedures efficiently.
  • Review prior reports and images to ensure complete studies.
  • Maintain records and logs; monitor and manage inventory.

Job description

Duties:

Prepares patient for examination focusing on patient comfort and satisfaction, explains the procedure in easy-to-understand terms performs ultrasound procedures, relieve patients of pre-testing anxiety and directly observes the and monitors the patient during the entire process.

Sets-up equipment to administer procedures in a timely fashion.

Carefully reviews prior reports and images, and patient chart.

Ensures that proper images have been obtained, studies are complete and through, appropriate techniques have been employed, reader is notified.

Maintains records and logs exams performed.

Maintains control of inventory and purchases of supplies for the assigned area.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills:

  • Experienced Sonographer to perform high quality Adult Echo studies as per ASE & IAC Guidelines in a premiere cardiac center.
  • Dedicated inpatient echo work experience is a must.
  • Experience documented by institutional referral with a minimum of 200 inpatient cases in echocardiography.
  • Proficiency in valvular assessment with strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills.
  • Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.
  • Ability to work independently, recognize abnormalities and quickly respond to critical findings.
  • Techs MUST HAVE TAVR TTE experience scanning pre TAVr treatment patients with crticial Aortic stenosis - this must be reflected on their resume as well.
  • The department only needs high end techs with a lot od experince or have worked for a valve center/structural heart facility.
  • All candidates that do not meet these requirements will be rejected.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • TEE and Stress Echo experience.
  • Familiarity with 3D echo imaging.
  • TAVR, Mitral Clip, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, VAD, closure device protocols.
  • Maintaining ICAEL - accreditation echo lab standards.
  • Experience using Philips ie33 and Epiq systems.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Education:

  • Graduate of CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology Program preferred.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

  • Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Experience documented by institutional referral with a minimum of 200 inpatient cases in echocardiography.
