Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms, stress echoes, and vascular studies as assigned.
• Proficiently operate ultrasound equipment and follow protocols.
• Complete administrative and clinical tasks to support office efficiency.
• Acquire echocardiographic measurements per protocol and create preliminary reports.
• Verbalize preliminary findings to the interpreting physician.
• Ensure data accuracy for clinical reports, demographics, and billing.
• Maintain and ensure equipment is functional and ready for use.
• Keep records of equipment and procedures performed.

As a Cardiac Sonographer you will complete all functions necessary to perform quality echocardiograms, stress echoes, and in some location vascular studies.

Essential Functions of the Role:

• Supports patient care by performing echocardiogram procedures, educating the patient on theprocessand answering any questions they may have
• Demonstrates proficiency with the use of ultrasound equipment and associated procedures.
• Routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running efficiently.
• Appropriatelyacquireechocardiographic measurements per protocol, create digital preliminary reports and verbally communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting physician
• Assures accuracy data for clinical reports,demographicsand billing information for physician reports
• Shows a high degree of judgment and skill in use of sonographic equipment.
• Ensures that equipment is constantly functional andmaintainedfor immediate use.
• Maintains records and reports on equipmentandprocedures performed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D
• ARDMS or RVT Certification
• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program
• A valid driver’s license
• BLS orACLS (Will need to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Desired Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in the Cardiology field
• One (1) year of experience as an ultrasound technologist.

This position is a clinical position reporting to our Enid Location. This position will also cover our rural areas and support offices by traveling as needed.

Physical Requirements

This position requires a full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 50 pounds.
