ROLE SUMMARY

Little Luckis seeking a Sommelier to support and elevate the guest experience through expert knowledge of wine, sake,and the overall beverage program. Working closely with the Wine Director, you willassistin guiding guests through the wineand sakelist, offering thoughtful recommendations, and ensuring service is warm, professional, and aligned with the restaurant’s standards.Additionalresponsibilities include assisting with inventory management, stocking, andmaintainingaccuracy within the POS system. The ideal candidate is service-minded, detail-oriented,willing to learn,passionate about hospitalityand education,andpossessesa strong interest in wineand sake.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain complete knowledge of wineand sakelistsand food pairings.
  • Clean equipment, tools, and supplies for wineand sakeservice,and ensure equipment is in good working order, including cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance.
  • Maintain and updatebeverageinventory according to set pars and internalcontrols andrequest product tomaintainstock.
  • Maintainappropriate beveragecosts by managing purchases and requisitions, and by performing weekly inventory reconciliation.
  • Maintainaccuratebeverage menusand POSsystem.Communicate all updates to the appropriate team(s)toensure accuracy at all times.
  • Assistwith the weekly and end of periodinventory reconciliations for
  • Meet regularly with the wineand saketrade to actively seek quality wines for the restaurant wine program as well as evaluate wines and other beverages for potential purchase.
  • Eliminatewaste by training and supervising employees on wine knowledge, pour levels, proper storage, etc.
  • Verify accuracy of wineand sakedeliveriesordered and received from the main warehouse and return or exchange deliveries when a warehouse error has occurred.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.
REQUIREMENTS
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in high volume, elevated dining restaurant.
  • Must haveFoodHandler’s Certification.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Mustbe authorized towork in the United States.
  • Must bedetail orientedandpossesseffective communication and written skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Self-motivated and performance driven.
  • Professional and courteous.
  • Remain in stationarypositionfor up to 8 hours throughout the work shift.
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequentlyliftupto 50 pounds.
  • Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
