Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Fluent in English and Somali with consecutive interpretation ability.
• Successful completion of language/interpreting proficiency evaluations.
• Must be able to travel to onsite assignments.
• Background checks and immunization requirements may apply per client.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and Somali during onsite assignments.
• Offer remote interpretation by phone or video when needed.
• Follow interpreter protocols, standards, and client requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy, security, and ethics requirements.
• Interact professionally with clients, patients, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain language proficiency and domain knowledge for assignments.
