Job summary

Future 4200 in Otsego County, NY is seeking a Solventless Extraction Technician 1 to assist in converting cannabis biomass into oil using solventless methods. The role requires a high school diploma with preferred coursework and offers hourly wage of $18–$20 with training provided.

Primary duties include assisting with extraction processes, equipment checks, QA sampling, batch records, and maintaining GMP-compliant procedures in a lab setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or better.
• Some college or certificate program preferred.
• Prior extraction experience is preferred, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out all extraction, extract processing, product formulation, filling, and manufacturing procedures in compliance with NY state regulations, GMPs, SOPs, and laboratory procedures.
• Assist in daily equipment checks and calibrations and perform corrective and preventative maintenance to keep operations efficient.
• Assist with observing and monitoring equipment operation during extraction to detect problems.
• Assist preparing biomass for extraction.
• Clean up work areas and equipment and dispose of debris and processing waste after extraction activities.
• Assist with ensuring compliance and accuracy involving all product tracking, product security, and product movement procedures.
• Assist with in-process and post-process QA sampling and visual inspections to meet company specifications, including recording conditions, weighing, data recording, and batch tracking; coordinate with 3rd party labs on sampling/reporting.
• Continually strive to improve processes and products for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Assist with monitoring and managing lab and processing equipment supplies.
• Assist with authoring and executing manufacturing batch records and SOPs.
• Perform duties safely in a GMP-certified extraction/laboratory environment and adhere to regulations.
• Operate standard office equipment, technology, and software as part of daily tasks.
• Wear PPE as required for safety and hygiene.
