Job summary

Merlin Group is seeking an experienced Solutions Product Manager in McLean, VA to lead the lifecycle of Merlin Validated Solutions from business case through release and ongoing management. You will coordinate Labs engineers, drive design requirements, and collaborate with sales, partners, and customers to shape the solution portfolio.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management, technical program management, or solution management with a roadmap, business case, and release cadence.
• Project management experience coordinating concurrent technical projects with schedule, dependencies, and risk.
• Builder background with engineering, sales engineering, or architecture exposure to write requirements and review designs.
• Ability to build and defend a business case including demand sizing and effort estimation.
• Working knowledge of the federal market and standards such as NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-207, FedRAMP, FISMA, and CISA Zero Trust models.
• Clear writing in business cases and launch material.

Responsibilities

• Gather demand from sellers, partners, Merlin Labs, and customers to define what Merlin should build next.
• Build business cases for candidate solutions detailing problem, demand, market evidence, and revenue potential.
• Present recommendations to sales and technical leadership for the build decision and defend tradeoffs.
• Define the solution before design, including scope, target customer, mission use cases, success criteria, and exclusions.
• Write design requirements for Solution Architects and Labs engineers covering integrations, data flows, and outcomes.
• Coordinate Labs engineering resources and run each solution as a project with scope, schedule, dependencies, resources, and risk.
• Lead design reviews, validation gates, and release milestones; manage blockers with partner teams.
• Own release; manage launch artifacts and handoffs to sales, delivery, and support.
• Manage lifecycle with adoption tracking, revenue attachment, and refresh/retire decisions.
• Develop channel strategy for Merlin Validated Solutions and Labs as a Service offering.
• Collaborate with product marketing and alliances on collateral and go-to-market plans.
• Partner with vendors and ISVs on joint roadmaps and co-sell activities.
• Report solution performance including throughput, cycle time, adoption, and revenue.
