Ladders is seeking a Solutions Engineer - SLED to join the team and partner with state, local, and educational customers to design and deliver drone-based technology solutions for mission-critical public safety operations. The role blends technical discovery, product demonstrations, and deployment readiness to help agencies adopt capabilities with confidence.

Remote - US based candidates only. Compensation: $150,000 – $225,000 annually.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Public Safety sUAS operations.
• Strong understanding of Drone as First Responder concepts.
• Familiarity with public safety software (CAD, VMS) and API integrations.
• Active FAA Part 107 Certificate.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with public safety agencies to develop tailored drone solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations and ensure smooth technology integration.
• Own site assessment quality and verify dock locations before deployment.
• Run structured proofs of concept tied to active opportunities.
• Support airspace path requirements, including BVLOS approvals and waivers.
• Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements.

For our client, we are seeking a Solutions Engineer - State, Local, Educational (SLED) to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This role will partner closely with state, local, and educational customers to design and deliver technology solutions that support mission-critical public safety operations. The position blends technical discovery, product demonstrations, and deployment readiness to help agencies adopt drone-based capabilities with confidence. You will collaborate across customer stakeholders and internal teams to remove integration barriers, validate site requirements, and advance opportunities through proof-of-concept activity.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $150,000 – $225,000 annually
