Job summary

NOV is seeking an Application Engineer in Houston to serve as the technical and commercial bridge between customer requirements and our equipment solutions. You will review customer specifications, perform pump selections, prepare quotations, and support projects throughout the sales cycle.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical and profitable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Process preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in applications engineering or technical sales focusing on pumping technologies.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, process data, and commercial requirements to identify application needs.
• Select suitable pumping and grinding equipment, considering process conditions and technical specifications.
• Perform sizing, selection, and performance analysis for pumps and grinders using engineering tools.
• Develop technical solutions that optimize product performance and commercial value.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Support sales teams and customers with technical clarifications during the sales cycle.
