Job summary

NOV is seeking an Applications Specialist for the HOSS line to bridge customer requirements with equipment solutions for horizontal multistage pump systems. You will review specifications, perform pump selections, and prepare quotations while coordinating with sales and engineering teams.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex needs into practical, profitable pumping solutions. Travel up to 10% to support customers and projects.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in pump applications, technical sales, or account management of pump equipment.
• Proven background in selling and supporting Horizontal Pumping Systems (HPS) or similar rotating equipment.
• Strong commercial acumen and technical understanding of surface production equipment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, process data, and commercial requirements to identify application needs.
• Select suitable pumping equipment based on process conditions and technical specs.
• Perform sizing, selection, and performance analysis for pumps using engineering tools.
• Support sales with aftermarket equipment solutions and quoting.
• Develop technical solutions that optimize product performance and commercial value.
• Prepare and review technical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to enhance project execution.
• Assist in developing application tools, processes, and best practices to improve efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for business processes and internal systems.
• Represent the company professionally at industry events and customer meetings as needed.
