Carnegie Mellon University’s CERT Division (SEI) seeks a technically proficient professional to support security architectures, cybersecurity operations, and SoS considerations for DoD and federal partners. You will develop architectures, evaluate analytics methods, and guide deployment of zero trust and cyber resilience strategies.

Candidates should have BS with 3 years or MS with 1 year in relevant fields, willingness to travel; background check required.

Qualifications

• BS degree with three years or MS with one year or equivalent mix of training and experience.
• Capable of presenting technical topics to leadership and technical audiences.
• Experience with security architectures and DoD/federal program engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support in developing security architectures for cybersecurity operations.
• Support mission engineering, SoS architectures, requirements, engineering, and deployment guidance.
• Advance cybersecurity architectures and evaluate analytical techniques including AI/ML.
• Document current-state architectures and identify gaps, evaluate integration strategies.
• Support Zero Trust and cyber resilience planning and implementation.
• Pilot and transition new technologies into operational environments.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to deliver projects.
