Job summary

Carnegie Mellon University’s SEI CERT Division in Arlington, VA, seeks a seasoned security architect to lead strategic initiatives across government programs, develop SoS architectures, and evaluate advanced AI/ML analytics for cyber operations.

You will document current-state architectures, identify gaps, mentor staff, and help plan Zero Trust and cyber resilience strategies while traveling to sponsor sites and conferences as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to present technical topics to audiences from leadership to technical experts.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, systems administration, programming, and cloud.
• Experience working with the government, or within a critical infrastructure sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support government program offices in strategy, policy, requirements elicitation, design and architecture.
• Translate situational awareness analysis into operational environments.
• Design, prototype, and transition tactical analysis studies and tools for operational use.
