Job summary

Dover Corporation in Hamilton, OH is seeking an Mechanical Engineer for Custom Equipment and Quoting to develop safe, workable, and manufacturable fluid transfer solutions. The role provides advanced CAD designs, layouts, and 3D models aligned with customer specs and engineering standards.

You will bridge sales and production by delivering accurate quotes, BOMs, and optimized configurations, collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams onsite.

Qualifications

• 2 years of professional engineering or technical quoting experience.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD (Creo/Pro/E) and 2D CAD (AutoCAD).
• Experience with design transfer to production and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Custom Equipment Quoting: quote custom pipe and swivel equipment (loading arms) and terminal layouts.
• KPI-Driven Turnaround: meet or exceed departmental KPIs for quote accuracy, technical verification, and speed of quote turnaround times to maximize sales conversion.
• Cost & Accuracy Optimization: ensure all custom loading arm configurations and engineering quotes are both highly accurate and economical; create detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support manufacturing to transfer designs.
• Sales Collaboration: act as the primary technical partner to internal sales teams, translating regional notes into viable commercial options.
• Cross-Functional Communication: coordinate with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and other internal departments to streamline quoting-to-purchase order pipeline.
