Job summary

Symmetry is seeking a technically adept, customer-facing professional to own technical discovery and end-to-end delivery for payroll compliance solutions. The role combines engineering, solution architecture, and agentic AI to deliver live, production-ready deployments that reduce manual work for clients.

You will scope opportunities, build proofs-of-concept, embed with client teams, and ensure the solution scales for future engagements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, AI Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Scope & Qualify: provide a technical feasibility read early on opportunities and own scoping after sales qualification.
• Define the Problem: gather requirements for Sales, Product, and Engineering alignment.
• Prove It First: build a working PoC for feasibility before full build.
• Make the Business Case: translate deployments into the subscription business case.
• Own the Build: embed with clients and write the code, ensuring production-ready deployments.
• Clear the Blockers: diagnose data issues, jurisdiction mapping, tax ID reconciliation.
• Bridge the Gap: keep technical and business teams aligned as requirements evolve.
• Own the Handoff: deliver the build and a runbook for Client Success.
• Close the Loop: provide signals back to product/go-to-market strategy.
• Create Implementation Playbooks: solution patterns, demo flows, and deployment docs.
