Job summary

DroneShield Limited is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join the U.S. tech team in Warrenton, VA. The role focuses on engaging with customers and partners, presenting technical information, and developing tailored solutions.

You will support pre-sales, deliver technical demonstrations, and collaborate with engineers and sales to drive enterprise deployments. The position requires strong Linux/networking fundamentals and experience in defense/aerospace or public safety sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities including customer facing, in person, technical presentation experience.
• Comfortable operating in a Linux environment with solid fundamental understanding of networking, systems, and software.
• Technical expertise with networked devices, telecommunications, radio frequency, electronic warfare or ML/AI systems is highly favorable.
• Previous experience in Defense, Aerospace, or Public Safety industries is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the pre-sales process by providing succinct technical information to customers and internal team members.
• Generate and provide technical presentations and proposals throughout the sales process.
• Demonstrate and utilize a deep understanding of DroneShield’s product offering, solutions, technology, and roadmap.
• Answer customer RFIs and RFPs.
• Prepare and lead technical product demonstrations for customers.
• Assist partner integration and collaboration efforts.
• This role requires up to 50% travel, 25% is typical.
• This role is in-office at DroneShield’s Warrenton, VA office.

About the role

The company is seeking a Solutions Engineer with relevant experience to join the U.S. tech team. The position will report to the Director of Engineering. This is an anticipated salary range for this role in Virginia. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications and location.

$140,000 - $160,000 USD
