Job summary

Choco seeks a Solutions Engineer to design, build, and deliver API-driven integrations for mid-market customers using low-code tools such as n8n, Zapier, and Tray.ai. You will own integration projects end-to-end from discovery to go-live and ongoing improvement, partnering with Sales and Customer Success to ensure successful outcomes.

You will collaborate with multiple teams to capture customer requirements, document designs, and scale delivery globally.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in solutions engineering or systems integration.
• Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field.
• Experience with low-code/automation tools such as n8n, Zapier, and Tray.ai.
• Experience delivering API integrations across multiple customer environments, from discovery and design through launch and ongoing support.
• Basic programming knowledge (e.g. JavaScript or Python).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, solution-focused mindset.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to make complex ideas clear and simple.

Mission As a Solutions Engineer, you will deliver fast, reliable, API-driven integrations for mid-market customers by translating business workflows into scalable, repeatable technical solutions. You will partner closely with Sales and Customer Success to deliver best-in-class integration experiences that drive adoption and long-term success. This role is primarily customer-facing, with a strong focus on solution design and customer outcomes rather than traditional software development. You'll build integrations primarily with low-code tools, using light scripting where needed.

What You'Ll Do

Design, build, and deliver integrations between Choco and customer systems using low-code tools (e.g. n8n and Tray.ai ). Own integration projects end-to-end from discovery to go-live and ongoing improvement. Partner with Account Executives in pre-sales by leading technical discovery, proofs of concept, and integration scoping. Troubleshoot and maintain integrations to ensure reliability and performance, and document integration designs for clean handoffs to Customer Success. Collaborate closely with Customer Success, Implementation, and Product teams, sharing customer feedback to help shape the product roadmap. Share best practices and contribute to scaling integration delivery globally. What You Bring 2+ years of experience in solutions engineering, IT/ERP consulting, or systems integration. Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field. Experience with low-code or automation tools such as n8n, Zapier, and Tray.ai. Experience delivering API integrations across multiple customer environments, from discovery and design through launch and ongoing support. Basic programming knowledge (e.g. JavaScript or Python) and working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON/XML, webhooks, authentication (OAuth, API keys), and data mapping. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, solution-focused mindset. Excellent communicator with the ability to make complex ideas clear and simple. This position requires in-office attendance 3 days per week (T/W/Th) in our Chicago office.

Nice To Have

Experience working with ERP systems or delivering integrations with ordering platforms. Background in food distribution, supply chain, or B2B SaaS. Familiarity with EDI, SFTP/flat-file integrations, or basic SQL. Comfort using AI tools to speed up discovery, documentation, and integration builds. Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. Choco does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
