Solutions Director

Alpharetta, GA – Position may work remotely

Responsibilities:
  • Work with Sales to develop account-winning strategies and provide product sales support to successfully close business.
  • Research and understand customer needs and define the overall technical and business solutions.
  • Combine understanding of business issues and product offerings to define solutions that provide key business value.
  • Function as the technical advisor to account managers and prospective clients.
  • Develop and deliver product demonstrations based on requirements and translate market requirements to guide product direction.
  • Represent the product at customer meetings and field events such as conferences and seminars.
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
  • Develop customer documentation including technical notes, whitepapers, presentations, and system architecture references.
  • Commission Proof of Concepts (POC) at customer locations.
  • Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Development Teams to define product vision and messaging.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors’ products and emerging industry trends.
  • Travel domestically to client sites up to 50%. Position can work remotely.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least three (3) years of experience supporting the utility industry technically.
  • Experience with two-way electric Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) technology, from head-end software to field endpoints.
  • Consulting on technical feasibility and integration of AMI solutions.
  • Implementing system configurations, features, and services, and validating system quality.
  • Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle database management and queries.
  • Networking and scripting experience.
  • Creating relevant use case scenarios and solutions.
  • Travel up to 50% domestically to client sites. Experience can be gained concurrently.
