Solutions Director

Alpharetta, GA – Position may work remotely

Responsibilities: Work with Sales to develop account-winning strategies, provide needed product sales support to successfully close business, research and understand the needs of the customer and define the overall technical and business solution. Combine understanding of business issues and all product offerings to define solutions that provide key business value. Function as the technical advisor to account managers and prospective clients. Develop and deliver product demonstrations on requirements and translate market requirement knowledge to guide corporate direction in products and positioning. Represent the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc. Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs. Develop customer documentation including technical notes, whitepapers, presentations and reference system architecture. Commission POC (Proof of Concepts) at customer locations. Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams. Work closely with Product Management and Development Teams to define product vision and message. Maintain a working knowledge of competitors’ products and services and of emerging trends in the energy industry. Domestic travel to unanticipated client sites up to 50%. Position can work remotely.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, electrical engineering or a related field plus three (3) years of experience with technical support of the utility industry. Experience must include three (3) years each of the following: technical support for two-way electric Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) technology, from head-end software to field endpoints; consulting on technical feasibility and integration of processes utilizing AMI solutions; implementing system configurations, features and services, and validating system quality; SQL Server and/or Oracle database management and queries, Networking, and Scripting; and creating relevant use case scenarios and appropriate solutions. Domestic travel to unanticipated client sites up to 50%. Experience may be gained concurrently.
