Job description

MobexHealth builds digital health solutions that improve access, engagement, and outcomes for Medicaid and underserved populations. We partner with health plans, providers, states, community organizations, and caregivers to deliver technology that simplifies care coordination, enhances member experience, and drives measurable results.

We are a fast-growing, mission‑driven team focused on innovation, operational excellence, and measurable impact.

About the Role

MobexHealth is seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect / Support Engineer who can balance technology and strategy equally. This role blends solution design, hands‑on technical troubleshooting, cross‑functional collaboration, and forward‑looking architectural strategy. It also incorporates the use of AI‑driven tools to enhance development workflows, documentation quality, architectural analysis, and support operations.

You will shape how solutions are envisioned, designed, built, and supported—matching technical approaches to project goals while coordinating the development, analysis, and implementation of highly reliable, scalable digital health platforms.

If you thrive in fast‑paced environments, enjoy solving complex problems, and want to directly influence healthcare technology innovation, this role is for you.

Location

The role operates primarily in a remote environment for candidates based in the US, with periodic travel to our Henderson, NV headquarters for strategic meetings and team alignment.

Your Impact will be:
Architecture, Strategy & Technical Leadership
  • Maintain an equal focus on technology and strategy, ensuring alignment with client needs, Medicaid requirements, and organizational objectives.
  • Use AI platforms to accelerate architectural analysis, improve documentation clarity, generate system diagrams, and support technical scoping activities.
  • Match technical solutions to project goals, constraints, workflows, and expected outcomes.
  • Architect secure, scalable system designs across MobexHealth platforms (web, mobile, kiosks, telehealth, care management tools, reporting infrastructure, and more).
  • Lead solution analysis and guide teams from conceptual design through full implementation.
  • Transform business requirements into technical specifications, API mappings, workflow diagrams, and integration plans in partnership with product managers and leadership.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration between engineering, DevOps, QA, product, customer success, and client teams.
  • Advise on technical feasibility, risks, and alternatives for new developments or complex client customizations.
  • Maintain architecture documentation, system diagrams, and long‑term solution roadmaps.
  • Design solution blueprints tailored to business requirements and organizational goals, ensuring technical deliverables meet health‑plan and client expectations.
  • Select optimal technologies, platforms, and vendors—balancing cost, scalability, compliance, performance, and integration constraints.
  • Assess constraints such as budget, resources, compliance, time‑to‑market, scalability, and technical debt.
Business-Technology Alignment & Stakeholder Communication
  • Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, compliance/legal teams, and clients to deeply understand workflows, regulatory requirements, data needs, and business objectives.
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, data‑flow diagrams, integration maps, and API specifications.
  • Present technical solutions to non‑technical stakeholders in clear, accessible language.
Support Engineering & Technical Operations
  • Serve as Tier 2/Tier 3 escalation for production issues, outages, data discrepancies, and integration failures.
  • Troubleshoot backend services, APIs, databases, SSO configurations, infrastructure, and web/mobile applications.
  • Analyze logs, AWS services, API traces, and system behavior to diagnose issues and recommend solutions.
  • Assist with deployments, release processes, bug validation, and release testing.
  • Develop internal troubleshooting guides, runbooks, and support workflows to improve operational consistency and response times.
Implementation & Client‑Facing Technical Support
  • Participate in technical discovery sessions with clients to understand workflows, integration requirements, and configuration needs.
  • Translate client requirements into actionable development tasks and architectural designs.
  • Provide technical guidance to Customer Success, Implementation, and Support teams.
  • Assist with configuring SSO, integrations, environments, API connections, and platform modules.
  • Lead technical demonstrations, architecture reviews, and solution walkthroughs for clients.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Long‑Term Vision
  • Work closely with engineering, DevOps, QA, product, customer success, and external vendors to deliver cohesive, compliant, scalable healthcare platforms.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends (cloud, AI, data analytics, interoperability) to recommend future‑proofing enhancements or strategic shifts.
Documentation, Quality Assurance & Execution
  • Coordinate the full lifecycle of solution development—from ideation through launch.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation including integration guides, data flow diagrams, requirements, and API specifications.
  • Conduct functional validation and sign‑off on new features and enhancements.
  • Ensure solutions meet compliance, security, and performance standards (HIPAA, SOC‑2).
  • Contribute to the internal knowledge base with clear documentation and troubleshooting material.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years in Solutions Architecture, Support Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of web/mobile technologies, SaaS platforms, APIs, AWS infrastructure, SSO/OAuth, and database systems.
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., code assistants, architecture generation tools, documentation AI) to improve efficiency and output quality.
  • Ability to align technical solutions with strategic goals and think from both an operational and architectural perspective.
  • Experience troubleshooting distributed systems, production environments, and complex integrations.
  • Excellent communication skills—capable of clearly conveying complex technical topics to both technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating across engineering, product, QA, DevOps, Customer Success, and client‑facing teams.
  • Bonus: Experience in healthcare, Medicaid, LTSS, or other regulated environments.
Preferred Experience
  • Exposure to React Native, Node.js, or similar development stacks.
  • Familiarity with DevOps fundamentals: CI/CD pipelines, release automation, monitoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of SSO, OAuth2, SAML, JWT, and security best practices.
  • Experience designing or supporting multi‑tenant platforms or systems with complex integrations.
What You’ll Bring
  • A strategic mindset paired with strong technical depth.
  • Ability to balance architecture, strategic planning, and hands‑on troubleshooting.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, and communication skills.
  • Passion for improving healthcare access and outcomes for vulnerable populations.
Why Join MobexHealth
  • Work at the forefront of Medicaid and community health innovation.
  • Influence the architecture and delivery of platforms used across the U.S.
  • Collaborate with a small, agile, high‑impact team that values innovation, flexibility, and meaningful impact.
  • Travel: Occasional travel (up to 10%) to MobexHealth’s headquarters in Henderson, Nevada.
  • Remote‑first: This position is remote‑friendly with flexibility for candidates across the U.S.
  • Time Zone Flexibility: Our team frequently accommodates varying time zones to support early morning or evening meetings with offshore developers and client demos, as needed.
  • Mission‑driven: Be part of a company that’s improving care delivery for vulnerable populations across the country.
