Job summary

Leica Biosystems is seeking a Solutions Architect to drive sales in the Western United States, coordinating with digital pathology hardware and software teams. You will communicate complex product information to diverse stakeholders, travel about 50%, and leverage CRM tools to close opportunities while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

The role reports to the Regional Sales Manager within the Digital Pathology team and offers a remote work arrangement across NV, AZ, CO, UT and NM.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum three years of medical imaging or devices sales and support experience.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or equivalent CRM.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with complex IT infrastructure in healthcare settings.

Solutions Architect is responsible for clearly communicating complex and technical product information as well as technical IT and networking information to a variety of customer stakeholders. In addition, they will serve as a technical expert for digital pathology hardware (scanners) and related software products. The Solutions Architect is also responsible for maintaining current knowledge of competition and market through study of competitive marketing information, competitive literature, and field surveillance of competition.

This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and is part of the Digital Pathology team located in the Western United States, and will be working remotely across Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of three years of medical imaging or devices sales and support experience
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or equivalent CRM
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with complex IT infrastructure in Healthcare settings.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
  • Ability to travel – Travel overnight as necessary (estimated at 50%) for all pre- and post-sales activities, such as customer appointments, trade shows and customer training. Customer call activity will be a balance of existing customers accounts to expand our current base, meeting with active opportunities and prospecting for new opportunities in the assigned geography.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, stand, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; balance, stoop, bend, talk and hear.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Analyzing situations, solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Strategic thinking/planning as well as tactical implementation
  • Networking and diagramming IT solutions

The base salary range for this role is $120,000 – $140,000. This role is also eligible for Sales Incentive Compensation (SIC). The total target compensation at plan (base + SIC) is $190,000 – $210,000 annually. Actual SIC earnings may exceed or fall below the target based on individual sales performance. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future
