Product Manager, Digital Pathology The Product Manager, Digital Pathology, will be a key team member responsible for actively managing the product lifecycle of Digital Pathology portfolio offerings across global healthcare and life science markets. You will lead product management for assigned software and workflow solutions, including lifecycle ownership of iQC software; strategy and cross‑functional coordination for connectivity solutions; and scanner sustainment, transition, and End‑of‑Life initiatives, including installed‑base conversion and customer migration strategies, to better serve the global customer base. Use your unique blend of hands‑on market, business, and technical expertise across software and instrumentation to develop strategic product visions and drive their successful execution. You must enjoy spending time with customers and stakeholders to understand market needs firsthand, define and execute lifecycle management strategies, and work closely with development teams to prioritize enhancements, support commercial success, and deliver solutions that address evolving clinical, research, and laboratory needs.

This position reports to the Sr Director, Global Product Management and is part of the Digital Pathology Product Management team located in Vista, CA. This role supports global customers and commercial teams and is on‑site.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
  • Oversee Leica Biosystems' iQC software, connectivity offerings, and assigned scanner portfolios throughout the product lifecycle, from strategic planning and commercialization through end‑of‑life.
  • Identify market opportunities, develop business cases, and establish product strategies, roadmaps, and lifecycle plans that drive customer value and business growth.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Program Management to define product requirements, prioritize enhancements, and ensure documented requirements represent the Voice of the Customer (VOC), including user personas, workflow mapping, and unmet needs analysis.
  • Partner with commercial, marketing, and service teams to align global product strategies with local market needs and business objectives.
  • Drive alignment across internal software, AI, connectivity, and shared platform teams to ensure product requirements, release milestones, interoperability strategies, and commercial objectives are achieved.
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Life Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of product marketing, product management, or related experience in medical devices, software solutions, or capital equipment.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably within medical device and/or FDA‑regulated markets.
  • Experience developing and executing product lifecycle strategies, including product launches, commercialization, installed‑base management, customer migration initiatives, and End‑of‑Life planning.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Clinical Laboratory, Biotech, or Pharma
  • Digital pathology
  • Developing and implementing End‑of‑Life strategies

The annual salary range is $120,000 to $140,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
