Location details: This role is remote with a preferred candidate in the Virginia or Washington D.C. area. The exact location and on-site requirements may change and will be confirmed at a later date.

Evans is seeking an experienced and strategic Solutions Architect to design and deliver robust and innovative solutions that meet our clients' business needs. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the successful implementation of complex projects. You will act as a trusted technical advisor and play a key role in creating system architecture and operational solutions.

• Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end solutions across various technology platforms.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solution architectures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, sales teams, developers, and project managers, to ensure alignment on project goals and outcomes.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure high-quality solution delivery.
• Create and deliver architecture documentation, diagrams, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Guide development and implementation teams through the lifecycle of projects.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, cost-effective, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Participate in RFP/RFI processes, crafting responses and presenting solutions to potential clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, software development, or systems design.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Proven experience designing solutions involving APIs, microservices, databases, and security frameworks.
• Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with DevOps tools and practices.

Compensation

Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $120,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Evans’s total compensation package for employees.
