Job summary

Spectrum Search is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead technically demanding customer implementations across enterprise and mid-market environments. You will own the entire lifecycle from requirements gathering to go-live and post-launch support.

The role requires hands-on delivery of complex API integrations, data mapping, and collaboration with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering. US work authorization is required for this post-sales role.

Spectrum Search is partnered with a growth-stage enterprise software company building API-first technology for complex financial and compliance workflows. The company is expanding its post-sales function and is looking for a Solutions Architect to lead technically demanding customer implementations across enterprise and mid-market environments.

About the opportunity

This is a full-time, individual contributor role within a growing Solution Architecture team. The position sits at the centre of customer implementation, working closely with Customer Success, Product, Engineering and client technical teams.

The focus is hands-on delivery rather than purely advisory solution design. You will own complex integrations from initial requirements through solution design, implementation, go-live and post-launch support.

The role

You will translate customer requirements into scalable technical solutions using RESTful APIs and enterprise systems. Projects involve complex data flows, authentication, payloads and integration architecture, with exposure to financial, compliance and indirect tax workflows.

The role combines technical depth with strong stakeholder management. You will need to communicate effectively with engineering teams while also guiding non-technical stakeholders through implementation decisions, dependencies and trade-offs.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical implementations from requirements gathering and solution design through go-live and post-launch support
• Design, build, test and troubleshoot integrations using RESTful APIs, JSON and XML payloads, webhooks and authentication flows
• Work directly with client engineering teams on data mapping and integration architecture
• Support integrations with enterprise resource planning, billing and financial systems
• Translate complex business and regulatory requirements into practical API-level integration designs
• Lead customer project discussions across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups
• Partner with Customer Success throughout onboarding and implementation
• Provide structured implementation feedback and feature requirements to Product and Engineering
• Support customer meetings and on-site sessions where required
• Proven Solutions Architect or closely related post-sales implementation experience within B2B software as a service or an API-led technology environment
• Deep, hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, including building, testing or debugging integrations
• Strong understanding of JSON or XML payloads, webhooks, authentication flows and data mapping
• Experience integrating with enterprise resource planning, billing or financial platforms such as SAP, Oracle or NetSuite
• Experience delivering technically complex implementations for enterprise or mid-market customers
• Strong client-facing stakeholder management across both technical and commercial audiences
• Comfortable operating as an individual contributor with direct ownership of implementation outcomes
• Existing US work authorisation is required as visa sponsorship is not available

Nice-to-haves

• Experience within fintech, payments, tax technology or compliance software
• Familiarity with indirect tax concepts such as VAT, GST and electronic invoicing
• Experience working within a growth-stage B2B software company
• Background spanning both post-sales implementation and pre-sales or sales partnership
• Previous experience in professional services or accounting combined with subsequent hands-on software or API implementation work

Location and remote setup

This is a hybrid role requiring regular office attendance in either New York or San Francisco. Candidates should be based in one of these locations or willing to relocate.
