Chainalysis is seeking a Solutions Architect to serve as a trusted technical advisor for national security accounts. This role involves building custom solutions that integrate within secure environments while maintaining operational access.
The ideal candidate will possess an active TS/SCI security clearance, relevant national security experience, and strong communication skills. Frequent on-site visits in the D.C. Metro area is a requirement.
Chainalysis Government Solutions (CGS) is a wholly‑owned Chainalysis subsidiary providing blockchain intelligence solutions—including technology, training, and services—to law enforcement, defense, and national security customers across the U.S. Government.
As a Solutions Architect, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor for our most sensitive national security accounts. You will bridge the gap between complex blockchain data and mission‑critical objectives, building custom solutions that support the deployment and integration of our projects within highly secure, classified environments.
Drive the Technical Win: Lead customer‑facing technical discussions and efforts to align Chainalysis capabilities with specific national security mission sets.
Operate with High Autonomy: Proactively identify, develop, and demonstrate custom solutions and integrations with minimal supervision. Frequently act as the primary technical representative on‑site.
Bridge Classified Environments: Effectively collaborate across different security domains to influence product roadmaps and support cross‑team efforts. Translate mission requirements from classified environments to uncleared engineering and product teams.
Enable the Mission: Provide on‑site enablement, technical integration support, and use‑case demonstrations within customer facilities in Chantilly, VA, Southern Maryland, and the greater DC metropolitan area.
Architect Complex Solutions: Provide guidance on technical challenges ranging from high‑level architecture to specific code implementation.
Maintain Operational Access: Ensure consistent engagement with customer/classified systems to maintain active access and operational readiness.
Build Partnerships: Partner with Sales and Account teams to identify new business opportunities and expand our footprint within the national security space.
Active Security Clearance: A current U.S. Government TS/SCI with Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph is required.
National Security Experience: Proven experience working within national security, with a firm understanding of the unique operational constraints of classified work.
Geographic Availability: Must be based in the D.C. Metro area and comfortable with frequent on‑site visits to Southern Maryland, greater DC metropolitan area, and Chantilly, VA.
Exceptional Communication: A mastery of "technical diplomacy"—the ability to actively listen, negotiate complex requirements, and convey technical concepts in a way that inspires confidence.
A Team Mindset. The ability to effectively integrate into a multi‑faceted team and become a force multiplier.
Independence: A self‑starter mindset with the ability to conduct solo client visits, perform technical discovery, and manage projects from inception to completion.
Crypto Expertise: Understanding of cryptocurrency ecosystems (mining, DeFi, smart contracts, tracing).
Technical Proficiency: Experience with Generative AI, Open Source Intelligence (OSINT). Capable or open to learn SQL. Python is a plus.
Certifications: Specialized finance or security certifications such as CAMS, CCAS, CGSS, or CFE.
Policy Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant government oversight policies, procedures, and security requirements.
