Job description

The Solution Architect will serve as an enterprise solution leader responsible for translating business priorities into secure, scalable, and sustainable application and integration architectures. This role will act as the connective point between business stakeholders, application teams, infrastructure, security, and external vendors to ensure solutions are well-designed, governable, and aligned with long-term IT strategy.

The Solution Architect will own the end-to-end design of enterprise solutions, including business processes, application architecture, integrations, security, deployment considerations, and operational readiness. The role will primarily focus on applications and integrations across ERP, CRM, middleware, and APIs, while partnering closely with Infrastructure and Security teams to ensure cloud deployment, compliance, resiliency, security, and cost objectives are met.

Primary responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the organization's application and integration landscape and identify opportunities to simplify, streamline, consolidate, and modernize technology solutions.
• Own the overall solution architecture and ensure functional designs, technical implementations, integrations, and infrastructure considerations align with the approved solution blueprint.
• Lead the design of enterprise application and integration architectures across ERP, CRM, middleware, APIs, and related platforms.
• Translate complex business requirements into detailed architecture blueprints, including application designs, data flows, API specifications, integration patterns, and deployment models.
• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new products and technology platforms, including proof-of-concepts, ROI analysis, and vendor assessments.
• Partner with business process owners, IT leadership, application teams, infrastructure, security, and external implementation partners throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure application architectures address security, compliance, scalability, resiliency, operational readiness, and cost optimization requirements.
• Oversee functional and technical workstreams to ensure implementation remains aligned with architecture standards, design principles, and business objectives.
• Establish and maintain architectural governance processes, standards, design patterns, and architecture decision records.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure and Security teams to ensure solutions meet cloud deployment, security, compliance, networking, and operational requirements.
• Promote the appropriate use of Kubernetes, Docker, containerization, microservices, event-driven architecture, and API gateways to support scalable and agile solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience in application development, system design, enterprise architecture, or enterprise integration.
• 4+ years of experience working as a Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Senior Application Architect.
• Strong experience designing enterprise application and integration architectures.
• Strong expertise with Oracle Cloud and Salesforce.
• Experience with financial systems and business processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Revenue Recognition, and Financial Reporting within an ERP environment.
• Strong experience with MuleSoft and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
• Strong understanding of API design, integration patterns, data flows, and API specifications.
• Experience leading technology platform evaluations, proof-of-concepts, vendor assessments, and product selection processes.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) deployment and architecture best practices.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong understanding of application security, compliance, resiliency, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Experience with enterprise architecture governance, architecture review boards, design standards, and architecture decision processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate technical and business trade-offs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders without direct authority.
• Ability to design scalable and adaptable solutions aligned with long-term business and IT strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with B2B or rental industry systems.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, API gateways, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with application deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of infrastructure fundamentals including networking, hosting, load balancing, and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to bridge application, integration, security, infrastructure, and cloud requirements within enterprise solution designs.
• Experience with AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience designing and implementing AI/GenAI-enabled enterprise solutions.
