Job summary

Central Steel & Wire, part of the Ryerson Family of Companies, is seeking a Solutions Advisor to grow our customer base in Illinois. You will process customer orders, perform sales calls, and build lasting relationships to deliver best-in-class service and solutions that meet our clients’ needs.

Requirements include the ability to read blueprints, experience using AutoCAD, and strong written and verbal communication. Proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word is expected.

Qualifications

• Prior sales or industry experience preferred.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience using AutoCAD.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Build territory/account plan and monitor resources.
• Collaborate with departments to execute account development plans.
• Follow procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.
• Identify problems and make sound decisions using standard procedures.
• Prioritize customer demands and provide satisfactory service.

As a Solutions Advisor with CS&W, you will be responsible for processing customer orders, making sales calls, and working to establish relationships with customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Build territory/account approach and monitor resources
• Works with different departments to execute account development plans
• Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
• Identifies problems and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions
• Prioritizes concurrent customer's demands and provides satisfactory service to all
• Balances concurrent requests for assistance from internal and external customers for customer service issues
• All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Requirements

Salary: $31.68 - $39.60 per hour. A starting salary higher than $39.60 per hour is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
