The Solution Engineer is a role that we often hire at Salesforce. If you are interested in any type of Solution Engineering role, you’ve come to the right place. As a Solution Engineer you collaborate with the customer, the Products team, and Professional Services to develop thoughtful solutions that help our customers connect with their audiences in new ways. It is a dynamic, fast‑paced environment where design, business consulting, and technology expertise drive innovation.
The SE must have a strong desire to demonstrate their technical and/or sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, configure and demonstrate solutions that address these requirements, and provide business value.
The SE team is organized into several smaller teams based on the products sold or the industry/vertical served. We also operate Core Teams that sell the entire Salesforce Platform and Co‑Prime teams that specialize in specific cloud solutions such as Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Heroku, Quip, and more. We hire based on skills and experience and are open to all levels for the right candidate.

The typical base salary range for this position in the United States is $88,970 – $244,510 annually. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. In California and New York, and select cities in the metropolitan areas of Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington, D.C., the base pay range for this role is $97,860 – $269,080 per year. The range represents base salary only and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
