Qualifications

Job Summary

Farmers Group (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks a Solution Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable, enterprise-level technology solutions aligned with business objectives. Specific duties include: collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical designs; design end-to-end system architectures ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, scalability, performance, and security; lead solution design discussions across Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and coordinate implementation across multiple teams; define and manage non-functional requirements including performance, reliability, and availability; identify dependencies, constraints, and risks across applications and platforms; design and implement CI/CD pipelines; guide teams in coding standards, architecture patterns, and design principles; evaluate and integrate Google Cloud Platform services including Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage; design and implement AI/ML solutions using Vertex AI, CCAI, Conversational AI, and Document AI; conduct technical feasibility analysis and proof-of-concepts; monitor solution delivery, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions; participate in PI Planning, Sprint Planning, system demos, and retrospectives; collaborate with QA teams to validate test strategies; maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams and design specifications; mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing; research emerging technologies to enhance system capabilities. Position requires Specialization Certification covering GCP Machine Learning and Data Engineering. Position requires 10% travel within the U.S. Option to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field of study, plus 7 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Machine Learning AI Engineer, Computer Systems Analyst, Solution Lead, or similar experience in the IT software development position. Must have 7 years of experience with each of the following: working in software development, systems engineering, or solution engineering; designing and developing enterprise applications and distributed systems using Google Cloud Platform (GCP); implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in the cloud platforms; programming in object-oriented and scripting languages using Python; working with data modeling, data processing, and database technologies; working with AI/ML frameworks, model development, and applied analytics; working with system integration, APIs, and microservices architecture; performing technical design, system analysis, and solution architecture; and working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe. Must also have 1 year of experience mentoring junior developers. Must have Specialization Certification covering GCP Machine Learning and Data Engineering. Must be willing to travel 10% of the time within the U.S. Option to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
