Job Summary

Farmers Group (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks a Sr. Solution Engineer to be responsible for providing expertise in the design and functionality of business applications to support Farmers Business Insurance processes. Specific duties include: providing expertise in the design and functionality of business applications; understanding customers' business processes and products and how best they can be supported by the application systems; leading multiple solution engineering technical projects across various teams and initiatives; developing, reviewing, and validating the detailed technical design for business applications provided by the supplier to ensure alignment with business requirements for complex solution; performing quality review checks on project deliverables; validating suppliers estimates; performing impact analysis of application changes across various components, holding an end-to-end view of the system; specifying/recommending integration and parallel testing criteria; supporting the implementation activities, troubleshooting system environmental issues, as required; overseeing Agile Release Trains to ensure they operate effectively and identify, resolve constraints across the development and delivery processes; providing a systems level view to guide technology delivery with broader supervisory oversight, ensuring alignment with business objectives; developing more robust technical designs that ensure scalability and performance; collaborating with teams to support product roadmaps and resolve issues impacting delivery timelines, including leading technical problem solving efforts for more complex solutions; contributing primarily to business unit level solutions and participating in enterprise level solution delivery; engaging in ongoing learning and sharing best practices; and mentoring or training less experienced team members. Option to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. with occasional travel to headquarters.
