Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Plainfield, Indiana is seeking a Solution Design Engineer to support proposals, renewals, and re-engineering initiatives for our distribution networks. You will analyze data, design layouts, and build engineering models to help win new business and improve operations.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelors in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or Operations Management, with 2+ years in logistics design or 3PL-like environments; proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, PowerPoint, and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or other related field.
Minimum 2 years Logistics & Distribution experience designing, implementing, or launching new facilities and solutions.
3PL or like experience preferred.
E-commerce and Omni channel fulfilment experience.
Six Sigma and Lean certification a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for proposals, renewals and re-engineering activities to support CEVA Business Growth and Retention objectives.
Data analysis, concept of operations, design layouts, identifying processes, build engineering models and develop customer proposals.
Continuous development of engineering skills to design distribution center operations.
Schedule, prepare and submit proposals and/or renewals on a timely basis with BDs and Program Managers.
Provide engineering support for other operational improvements as requested.
Incorporate green initiatives into CEVA proposals when appropriate.
