Job summary
Dematic is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with Conveyor and Sortation experience to join our Customer Service Solution Development team in estimating solutions for our customers. The Solution Design Engineer - Mechanical will work in Dematic Corporation’s Solution Development department and report to the Solution Development Manager.
The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $65,000-$140,000 at the time of posting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5-10 years as a project engineer for automated material handling systems.
- Experience with conveyor systems design and basic electrical controls knowledge.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D design tools.
Responsibilities
- Understand the design of complex systems that integrate material handling equipment, electrical controls, programming and software to estimate mechanical equipment for complete solutions.
- Read mechanical drawings and deliver follow-up of technical details.
- Develop ROM costing and provide estimates for semi-complex projects.
- Create and modify proposal drawings for estimating purposes.
- Collaborate with solution team stakeholders during reviews.
- Explain and discuss complex problems to deliver mechanical solutions.
