Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Solution Architect for the Forward Deployed Architecture AI Capability Center. The role blends solution architecture with hands-on delivery to create production-ready AI solutions on Azure, aligning with enterprise security and governance requirements.

You will translate business priorities into technical requirements, collaborate with stakeholders and engineers, and drive measurable outcomes in a remote US-based setting.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in solution or cloud architecture.
• 3 years of experience on Microsoft Azure.
• 1–2 years in a leadership role.
• 2+ years designing or delivering AI/ML solutions, incl. production.
• Strong writing and executive communication.

Responsibilities

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Solution Architect, Forward Deployed Architecture (AI Capability Center) to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.

This role will partner closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams to identify where AI can create value and then shape those opportunities into practical, production-ready solutions. The ideal candidate will combine solution architecture depth with hands-on delivery experience, helping drive secure, governed AI implementations on Azure that are aligned to enterprise needs. You will also play a visible role in translating business priorities into technical requirements and establishing success measures that support strong delivery outcomes.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $145,000 – $170,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and frame the problem
• Own solution design by producing comprehensive architecture on Azure
• Design for production with security and governance built in from the outset
• Translate business needs into actionable engineering requirements and translate technical considerations back to the business
• Set success measures with the Engagement Manager and engineers before project initiationBuild critical components alongside engineers, with emphasis on infrastructure as code and retrieval pipelines
• Maintain design integrity for industry-specific use cases, particularly in healthcare and higher education

Qualifications

• 5-8 years in solution or cloud architecture
• 3 years of experience on Microsoft Azure
• 1-2 years in a leadership role
• 2+ years designing or delivering AI/ML solutions, including a generative AI project in production
• Proficiency in Azure identity, networking, and security, including Entra ID and role-based access control
• Strong writing and facilitation skills with credibility among executives
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
