Job summary

Dwyer-Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Solution Architect to act as a technical SME and intermediary between business and IT. The role focuses on problem solving and developing technology solutions that expand business capabilities across ECommerce, ERP, CRM, IT infrastructure, and more.

Responsibilities include architecture design, stakeholder collaboration, technology evaluation, implementation oversight, and integration management. Travel may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of solution architecture experience focusing on cross platform ECommerce, ERP, CRM, and Data Analytics solutions.
• Deep understanding of SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), Sitecore platforms and Azure, AWS & Vercel cloud environments.
• Experience in system integration lifecycle including system design and deployment, systems integration, data migration, business and functional requirements, and data model design.
• Deep understanding of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards.
• In-depth understanding of various software development lifecycles (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
• Proficiency in Java, .Net (C#, VB), PHP or Drupal.
• Proficiency with ECommerce, ERP, CRM, Service, WMS, etc.
• Understanding of Database schema, structures and tools such as SQL, JSON.
• Understanding of ECommerce Headless Architecture and frameworks like React or Angular.
• Understanding of APIs, Micro-services, RESTful Services middleware such as Boomi, Mulesoft, JMS, Tibco.
• Understanding modeling techniques such as UML.
• Familiarity with automation and low code/no code platforms (SNOW, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, Power Apps).
• Ability to collaborate with geographically dispersed team members.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related area.

• Quality Assurance: Establish standards and guidelines for solution development and conduct reviews for architectural compliance.
• Documentation: Create and maintain architecture documentation including solution designs and data flow diagrams.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and monitoring to evaluate solution performance and optimize as needed.

Job description

The Solution Architect will act as a technical SME and intermediary between the business community and the technical community focusing on problem solving and developing technology solutions that expand business capabilities. Working closely with both business stakeholders and IT teams responsible for ECommerce, ERP, CRM, IT Infrastructure, and more, the Solution Architect will ensure that appropriate designs and architecture are established to drive scale, speed, and value. In addition, where applicable, this individual will lead projects and will serve as an active thought partner and consultant to the business community.

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Architecture Design: Develop and maintain solution architectures that align with business objectives and technology strategies. Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, product managers, and development teams to gather requirements, understand business challenges, and provide technical expertise.
• Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and platforms that can enhance our product offerings and improve internal processes.
• Implementation Oversight: Lead the implementation of technology solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
• Integration Management: Design and oversee integration of systems, applications, and data across the enterprise to ensure seamless functionality and information flow.
• Quality Assurance: Establish standards and guidelines for solution development, conducting reviews to ensure compliance with architectural principles and practices.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation, including solution designs, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and monitoring processes to evaluate solution performance and make necessary adjustments for optimization.

Requirements

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

• 7 years + of solution architect experience focusing on cross platform ECommerce, ERP, CRM, and Data Analytics solutions
• Deep understanding of SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), Sitecore platforms and Azure, AWS & Vercel cloud environments
• Experience in system integration lifecycle including system design and deployment, systems integration, data migration, business and functional requirements, and data model design.
• Deep understanding of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards

• Proficiency In at least one development language such as Java, .Net (C#, Visual Basic), PHP or Drupal
• Proficiency with various business applications such as ECommerce, ERP, CRM, Service, WMS, etc.

• Understanding of ECommerce Headless Architecture and associated frameworks, React or Angular
• Understanding of API’s, Micro-services, RESTful Services middleware such as Boomi, Mulesoft, JMS, Tibco

Essential/Preferred Skills :

• Lean Process Improvement training and/or certification
• Experience with ECommerce (SAP Hybris ECommerce Commerce Cloud) and integrated applications such as (SAP ERP, Infor, Oracle EBS), CRM (ie: Salesforce, Dynamics), Sitecore CMS and overall ECommerce application stack

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
• Availability to work outside of core business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required for system upgrades or migrations.
• Required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• The ability to lift 30-50 lbs without assistance.
• Local and/or international travel will be required as needed (10-15%) including some extended stays on location for education or deployments. Must have a valid driver's license and Passport.
