Qualifications

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• 15–20 years of overall IT experience, including substantial experience in solution or enterprise architecture.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Enterprise application architecture
• Distributed systems and microservices
• Event-driven architecture
• Cloud-native application design
• High availability and disaster recovery
• Scalability, performance, resilience, and fault tolerance
• Ability to develop:
• Solution architecture documents
• High-level and low-level architecture diagrams
• Integration and data-flow diagrams
• Deployment architecture

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work with business and technology stakeholders to understand functional, non-functional, security, compliance, and operational requirements.
• Define end-to-end solution architecture aligned with enterprise standards and business objectives.
• Evaluate solution alternatives and document recommendations, trade-offs, dependencies, assumptions, risks, and constraints.
• Create architecture diagrams, integration designs, data flows, deployment models, and technology roadmaps.
• Define application, integration, infrastructure, data, security, and operational architecture.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, performance, availability, resilience, maintainability, and security.
• Lead architecture and design review sessions with engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and operations teams.
• Provide technical direction to development teams throughout design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Review technical designs and implementation approaches for alignment with the approved architecture.
• Identify architecture risks and technical debt and recommend mitigation or remediation actions.
• Establish reusable patterns, technology standards, and engineering guidelines.
• Support effort estimation, implementation planning, dependency management, and release-readiness activities.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and risk teams to incorporate required controls into the solution.
• Support proofs of concept and technology evaluations when required.
• Review vendor or third-party solutions for technical fit, security, integration, scalability, and operational supportability.
• Participate in production-readiness reviews and provide guidance for monitoring, incident management, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.
• Communicate architecture decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor technical leads, developers, and other architects while promoting consistent engineering practices

Salary Range: $130,000 to $150,000 per year
