Job summary

Lancaster Products in Lebanon, PA is seeking a Product Engineer to design industrial mixing and material handling equipment from the ground up—turn signed contracts into prints and follow them through the shop, out the door, and into a customer’s plant.

You’ll spend about half your time in SolidWorks and the other half on the manufacturing floor, answering questions about parts, BOMs, and installation, while coordinating with vendors and customers on controls and interfaces.

Qualifications

• Hands-on 3D CAD design experience, SolidWorks strongly preferred.
• Engineering degree or associate’s degree with CAD/3D design experience.
• Mechanical aptitude for heavy-duty equipment design.
• Ability to work with shop floor personnel and vendors.
• Interest in end-to-end project lifecycle from concept to commission.

Responsibilities

• Design 3D models, assemblies, and complete machines in SolidWorks and produce drawings for shop.
• Turn negotiated contracts into prints and release parts to manufacturing.
• Research components from vendors and compare function vs cost.
• Support projects through build, commissioning, operation, and service.
• Answer questions from production, sales, and manufacturing management.
• Collaborate with customers on installation and control/interface questions.
• Occasional travel for equipment start-up.
